We look after our employees

About the RIDI Group

The RIDI Group of companies operates several locations across the whole of Europe and encompasses several product brands. The company headquarters are in Jungingen in the Zollenalb District of Baden-Württemberg in Southwest Germany, where the foundation stone of the company was laid 60 ears ago when Richard Diez founded RIDI Leuchten.

Today, the RIDI Group employs a Europe-wide workforce of over 600 in wide-ranging different areas. RIDI is still a family firm and is very aware of the high level of responsibility it bears towards its employees.

Our corporate culture

We have made close ties to our employees one of our key corporate objectives.  We have created the framework conditions which will offer them all equality of opportunity irrespective of their origins, age and gender.

We attach high priority to the creation of short distances, an interlinked departmental structure, a cooperative working environment, and a frank, open dialogue. This also allows us to respond flexibly to customer needs, encourages innovation, fosters the development of new ideas, and creates an atmosphere in which we continue to develop and thrive.

Work-life-balance

We do everything in our power to ensure that our employees feel satisfied and contented at RIDI.

In some of our divisions, we have introduced the possibility of individual working hours and flexible models to allow employees to more easily reconcile their professional and family needs.

Our company medical service offers regular free check-ups during working hours (e.g. internal eye pressure measurement, flue injections etc.). In the event of health questions, our employees are also able to turn to our company medical service. Particularly worthy of mention are our seminars on subjects such as back pain and quitting smoking. As the health of our employees is important to us, we have introduced a health bonus in the form of a tax-free payment in kind (petrol coupon).

Our own company canteen in Jungingen offers two varied and freshly cooked lunch menus every day. In the morning, there are a number of breakfast options on offer. In the summer, meals can be enjoyed on our open-air terrace.

We actively encourage activities such as the active biking group RIDI Light Rider, we have a shooting club and offer regular skiing trips.

Various summer parties and our big annual Christmas celebration are much welcomed diversions and a highlight in our company calendar.

Benefits

There are agreements in place in a number of our locations:

  • Above and beyond the agreed wage or salary, our employees also receive additional remuneration in the form of a Christmas and a holiday bonus.
  • If we have had a good year, we also distribute a dividend.
  • In order to promote the company pension scheme, all employees receive age-related capital formation benefits, an employer's allowance and an employer's contribution after six months of service and when taking out a direct insurance policy.

We want our employees to feel at home in our company and to enjoy working for RIDI. Close working relations with line managers, and an open door policy - also on the management level - are ways in which we achieve this.
